Committee Charge: 
This study group supports Strategic Direction 1, Goal 1, 1: Raise Minnesota’s participation and achievement in post-secondary education by meeting the needs of students with diverse backgrounds and educational goals.

The purpose of this study group is to assist the Diversity and Multiculturalism Division of the Office of the Chancellor in reviewing the current status and related issues of male access and success at Minnesota State Colleges and Universities.  A final report will be prepared.

Committee Membership:  Up to sixteen (16) faculty, staff and students shall be recruited to be members of the study group for a period of not more than 8 months. MSCF (2), IFO (2), MSCSA (2), MSUSA (2), MAPE (1), Academic Affairs Campus or Student Affairs Administrators Appointed by the Senior Vice Chancellor (3), Division of Diversity and Multiculturalism Staff (2).

Committee Member Expectations:  Members are responsible for: (a) communication with the constituent groups, (b) consideration of the interests of the system as a whole, and not an individual institution or group, (c) active participation in study group’s meetings and assignments, (d) attendance at study group meetings, (e) adherence to established study group processes and procedures, and (f) support of study group’s recommendations.

Outcome and Target Completion Dates:  The primary outcomes of this study group shall be: (a) advise and help the Diversity and Multiculturalism Division of the Office of the Chancellor review issues related to male students’ access and success at Minnesota State Colleges and Universities; and, (b) make recommendation, as appropriate, to the Diversity and Multiculturalism Division regarding enhancing the access and success of males in Minnesota State Colleges and Universities.
