Rally For Public Higher Ed
and Free College

Students, faculty, and staff from MinnState Colleges and Universities will gather for a rally on the front steps of the MN State Capitol to urge lawmakers to support public higher education, fund free college for all, and enact President Biden’s student loan debt forgiveness program. We must show up and push for reinvestment in higher education. Minnesota has a $17 billion surplus. Inaction now will mean a continued rise in student debt, dramatic drops in enrollment, and further cuts to campuses.
Free transportation is available from Bemidji, Mankato, Moorhead, St. Cloud, Marshall, and Winona. We will also have free parking near the Capitol, with a shuttle running throughout the event. The bus leaving from Winona will stop at RCTC, and the bus leaving from MSU, Mankato will stop at SCC.
