HIGHLIGHTS
Salary Increases
FY26 (Academic Year 2025-2026):
1.4% Across the Board for All Faculty
FY27 (Academic Year 2026-2027):
1 Step (2.4%) for All Returning Fixed-term, Probationary and Tenured Faculty; 2.4% increase in adjunct per credit rate
OTHER ECONOMIC IMPROVEMENTS
Meal reimbursement rates for Professional Development, Professional Improvement, and grant funds increase to 1.5 times the State Managerial Plan rates.
Paid Parental Leave increases to 7 weeks (35 duty days).
LANGUAGE CHANGES
Improvements in the process for claiming vacant positions for retrenched faculty with claiming rights
Improvements in options provided to retrenched faculty with 20+ years to include enhanced benefits for faculty who separate early.
Summary report will be defined as a brief, written statement that summarizes progress toward PDP goals and will replace oral reports.
Improvements in office hours requirements and change to “student support hours.”
HEALTH INSURANCE AND OTHER BENEFIT CHANGES
No increases to deductibles, copays, coinsurance, or out-of-pocket maximums for health insurance.
Health insurance premium for single medical coverage to increase by $7.12 per month; new rate will be $48.96 per month starting January 1, 2026.
Health insurance premium for family medical coverage to increase by $48.54 per month; new rate will be $333.96 per month starting January 1, 2026.
Dental insurance premium for single coverage to increase by $0.70/month; new rate will be $14.50/month beginning January 1, 2026.
Dental insurance premium for family coverage to increase by $2.96/month; new rate will be $61.86/month beginning January 1, 2026.

The results are in: IFO members have voted decisively to ratify the 2025-2027 IFO/MinnState contract settlement.
Voting on the new contract will take place electronically October 21-27.
Voting is open Sept. 7-13.

IFO Government Relations Committee will be reviewing the system budget request and offering a recommendation to the Board later this month.
