IFO Office Closed Until Further Notice

The IFO office in St. Paul has been closed effective at 5 pm on Monday, March 16. The staff will continue working remotely. This closure is a precautionary measure to protect our staff and faculty from contracting COVID-19. We will continue to monitor the situation daily and make any updates/changes as necessary. The safety of our staff and members is our number one priority.

During this difficult time, our staff will remain fully engaged in the important work of the IFO. In addition, we continue to advocate for faculty as the System and State government address the ongoing pandemic.

As you take steps to protect your health and the health of others, keep in mind that we are fighting a virus, not members of our communities. Discrimination, stereotypes, xenophobia, and racism remain as harmful to our campus and local communities as before the emergence of COVID-19.

If you wish to contact a staff person, their email addresses are listed below. If you are not certain which staff person to contact, please email advocacy@ifo.org or call 952-239-9620.

For more information about COVID-19 please visit www.coronavirus.gov. Of course, we recommend everyone take precautions to prevent the spread of any virus -- whether it’s the flu, coronavirus or the common cold. Here are the guidelines offered by the CDC:

·       Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds

·       If soap and water aren’t available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol

·       Wash or sanitize your hands before eating, after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing

·       Don’t touch your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands

·       Avoid close contact with people who are sick

·       Stay home if you’re sick
